Harvey Watson

Senior Vice President

Harvey Watson joined the DMS corporate team in 2007 and is responsible for both business development growth and daily operational contract operations and administration. In this dual role, Mr. Watson works directly with the Business Development team to plan and execute organizational growth. Additionally, he oversees all aspects of organizational, contractual start-up, and close-out as required, including onboarding and off-boarding of employees.  He works directly with the company's HR and Payroll departments on required policies and procedures and personnel issues, internal investigation management, union negotiations, and other required day-to-day operations. He brings over 40 years of Department of Defense and Air Force Logistics experience to the position, including over a decade of direct Project Manager responsibility at the site level.

Russ Thompson

Vice President for Business Development

Russ Thompson joined DMS as the VP for Business Development in 2018. He is a retired U.S. Air Force officer who has worked in the Government contractor community for 20+ years. Mr. Thompson began his career in the Air Force and held leadership and management positions in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) arena. He successfully transitioned to the Federal contracting business as a Communications and Computer Systems Engineer and Program Manager. During this time, Russ also cultivated a background in the business development side of Federal contracting, which he has applied to support other firms and now, with Data Monitor Systems.

James A. Gustafson

President

James Gustafson is a Vietnam Era Veteran (USMC) who has been a practicing certified public accountant since December of 1979. In February 2006, he became the owner of Data Monitor Systems, Inc. He had worked with the company for over twenty years as its Certified Public Accountant and spent four years working directly for the company before purchasing the company from its original owner. As President, he oversees the daily operations of all aspects of the company and is responsible for the overall success of the company.

Sharon Murray

Business Development Lead

Sharon Murray has worked for Data Monitor Systems for 28 years as a proposal and Business specialist.  In her current position as Business Development Lead, she helps identify and pursue new business opportunities. She is also an integral part of the Proposal Team function, including pricing, capture, and proposal development and management.  Additionally, she coordinates required invoicing actions and billing for all DMS-awarded government contracts and works directly with the Accounting and HR departments.

Experience

Data Monitor Systems, Inc. (DMS) offers a wide and diverse range of experience to companies interested in forming teaming arrangements to compete for DODs "bundled" multi-service procurements, direct conversions, and A-76 type procurements. We are a small business with recent experience as a Prime and Subcontractor in proposal preparation and contract performance. We have teamed with large and small firms as a prime and as a subcontractor. We have experience dealing with labor unions.
